Motoman DX100 and ProFace touchpanel
« on: June 16, 2011, 12:01:36 PM »
Hello Guys.

Has any of you, any experience, working with Proface panels, on Motoman Robots.

My plan is to make palletizing, from a ProFace panel, and then write the data to the robot controller directly. If I look on the driver list in the ProFace software, there's only mentioned, PLC's and Servo drives.

Anyone who has tried anything like this ???

Have a nice day....

if your touchscreen has profibus, devicenet etc and so does your robot then it is ok. you will need handshake and bits  communication in order to implement your desired data to the robot or the opposite or both.

In standard configuration, the AGP3200 Proface panel has Ethernet....

I have done this on a Fanuc robot. In the Panel Software, there is a driver called GE Fanuc. when you load that. you can see All IO, Vaiables and som parameters, eks. SPEED. And you can modify them from the panel.

I hoped, thet someone has tried the same, with a Motoman DX100
