Hi,

I have already posted this to roboterforum.de but if someone in here needs it too here it goes...

I recently had to replace defective floppy drive to our VRS1 controller there are few tricks I would like to share with others too:

       1. IBM-PC compatible floppy drive wont work with VRS1
       2. SEF has original units cost is around 400-500 Eur
       3. Floppy drives(DD or HD) that work with Commodore Amigas will fit   gibbo

Amiga floppy drives are unfortunately a bit rare these days   icon_frown. But should be available in some Amiga concentrated internet shops. It is also possible to "modify" some PC floppy drives to work with Amiga/VRS1 http://www.carrott.org/amiga/floppy.html About floppies at least controller version 1.14 and older don't work with HD(1.44mb) floppies but they need older DD(720kb) floppies. I guess if you find a place that sells Amiga compatible floppy drives they sell DD floppies too.

Hello,

This is a good device to replace the old floppy drives on Robot controllers. Then you can use SD memories !
Is tested on ABB M2000 and Kuka KRC1 robot controllers.

VRS1 uses PDOS Format.
Does your Driveemulator also Simulates PDOS with (ca.)720 KB ?
