Hi!

You have to be more specific! What do you mean by 'from scratch'? Which model / rev.? Do you need just the schematics for the arm cable?

Pictures would be great since people think they have mkIII but in fact they have mkI. So pictures from the controller and the arm would help to help you.

I am building a robot from scratch building robot body, servos,dc motors. I want to replicate a puma 500 but I need tech schematics so I know the correct dimensions of the body for my plasma cutter. Here is a pic of the  model Iam making. Any info would be appreciated.

I don't want to disappoint you, but I don't think that there are any fab drawings made public. If you are lucky, you can get the manual set, including mechanical and electrical drawing set. But even then you wouldn't be able to build one.
I just got a 761 with the manuals, so I can tell you there is by far not enough info. They are just for maintenance.

But still: GOOD LUCK!

Regards!

Hi Rob!

Since I am still in the process of scanning them, you can find them on

http://theatronics.com/PUMA_Documents.html

This is by far the most informative site I have found. When I am done preparing them (try scanning ledger format with a regular letter size scanner...) I will send them to the mentioned site.

By the way: do you have anything you are willing to share? Software / floppy images made with 'omniflop' or pdf's are more than welcome!
