a taskStatus of 60 means that the "maximum instruction time has been exceeded".

With communications program this typically means that a sio, socket or serial port, has timed out. The time out value for each serial port and socket is set on the control panel of the pendant. In VAL3 version 6.4 and later it can be set using the instruction sioCtrl.

The default value is 5 seconds. You can make it longer, turn it off by setting the timeout value to 0, or use the sioGet and sioSet instructions in your library which simply return a 0 or -1 if they time out.
