March 2010 we replaced the batteries. We no longer get the message that the batteries need replaced but the arm still will not calibrate if we shut the power off to the controller. I have to go in, joint by joint, and set them to their marks. We can not align the entire arm at once since this is a ceiling mount with trays under it.

Any suggestions?

Make sure the battery switch is turned on. If you still get the issue, it is probably a defective DAPS board.

Thanks Jim C

I have checked the switch in the past - compared it to the robot beside it that is behaving fine and had it's batteries replaced around the same time.

I will make a note that the DAPS board is probably the problem.
