Hi everybody,
I need some help to format a new compact flash of 124MB, I can not found of 68MB. I try to do it with m5.3 tool kit but it says to me that is not compatible format. After instruction part 10.10.90.1
Cabinet CS8C is old one, only one ethernet and two usb, I use usb floppy disk.

By other way. Did any body how to run a call like l_nLibLoad=data:libLoad("\datos") from the usb0. The problem is my application is writting every piece on data lib and from years to years I thought the compact flash is corrupted and I'm having troubles.

Thanks' for your help

To use USB add "USB0:\\" in front of your library, "data:libLoad("USB0:\\datos")".

You can contact your local Staubli office to get a newer copy of the maintenance software that should be able to format a 128 mb CF card. They also maybe able to sell you a preformated card. You also should talk to them about upgrading the software. The newer versions are better about extending the life of the compact flash. They don't always write back to the same sectors.

Finally you could upgrade to a newer CPU. Staubli switched from Compact Flash to NAND flash on the newer versions which has a much longer life.

CF is a dated technology. the cards are getting harder and harder to find.
