Hi,

I have made a small tool (written in Java) to convert the orientation in between different robot manufacturers called iRoHT ([industrial] Robot[ics] Helper Tool). It is not finished yet and still in beta version. But I think it can be used anyway. I am currently supporting only Kuka, Motoman, Fanuc, ABB and Delmia. You will see that a lot of options are not working. But you can see the matrix form and change those values. You can also see the second solution for the orientation. You can force positive values and change the precision. You can transpose the matrix and change the separator character. All the values you entered are automatically changed so that you see the result while typing. You can "correct" your matrix form by using an adjuster button.

Here is the website address:

There is a screenshot in the news section of the website.

Please let me know how you like it, bugs, what you will like to see next, comments, suggestions, etc.

I hope this tool can help at least one person.

Hello iroht:

Welcome to the robot-forum

Thank you very much for sharing your work.
I downloaded the software, looks nice but at the moment I don't have an application for it.
There's thousands of users out there and for sure many will use it.

Thanks

somar

Thank you somar. I have added a new version on the website (v0.02) which now includes the Kawasaki robots and Axis/Angle conversion. I have also improved the unit vector error detection. So you can go on the site and download the new version on the download page. Here it is again:

Hope this helps.
