Hello all,
              i have otc robot irb 601 with dr controller and cpdp 350 weld controller.
I have a problem of contact tip burning even if i set any welding parameters.

Help!!

Did you connect voltage detection cable?

 Yes i have connected the voltage detection cable to the welding fixure.

This sounds to me like you have an insulation problem. Some thing like the splatter build-up at the feeder base or even one of the wire conduit connections.

Can you post a picture of what the burnt up tip looks like. The only times we have had that problem either when the tip isn't cleaned frequently enough or a groungding / insulation issue. Although there has been a couple of times where the tip was just programmed too close to the part.

Potentially a picture might show some signs to help others assist you.

The voltage sensing cable should be mounted to the positive lead on the wire feeder. Some OTC power supplies also monitor the negative side and that should be mounted to the table/fixture.

1) The system work and now you have the problem
2) is e new installation and not work

if the answer is 1
Is possible the welding interface not work good or the IGBT inside the weld is broken.

if the answer is 2
check all cables
