I have a question. How to use a pc to real-time control the robot? As far as I know, we need to
download the program written in Melfa basic language into the robot controller and then execute the robot.

I hope to use C language to control how the robot moves instead of Mitsubishi Melfa basic language.
For me, it is impossible to crack and bypass the controller and control the robot by a PC using C because
I don't see any servo control card that is designed to plug in a PC and wire to the power driver circuit of
the controller to control the robot.

Can anyone give me some suggestions how to online control the robot if I like to do some sensing from the environment and make
a decision to control the robot?

Well yeah you can definetly control the robot online with C. You need to just download a very simple MELFA program that accepts real-time commands, and then program a C program to send these commands. Then give those commands to this program online!.
For more information check the Ethernet Manual for your controller on Real-Time control. Though I would suggest using a more OO language like Java or C# but do what you feel most comfortable with.

hi
i beleive that Mr. Bard is talking about using commande INPUT and OUTPUT

for my robot MELFA RV1a i used serial connexion rs232 to send lines to the controller using MOVEMASTER commands.

Do you already have a software made by the factory to online control of the robot ?

Regards
