I got this robot out of storage.  It was decommissioned six years ago.   I have replace all the batteries in the robot and controller.  However, I cannot get the controller past the H1610 error.  I do not have the Mitsubishi software and their tech support didn't call me back.

With the help from an append here, I have gotten past the H1610 error, taught all the zero's and now get this H1041 error that won't go away.

Any help?
Kent

Error H1041 is an error on Axis 1
the manual says it's an Encoder Error,
Please check all the connectors are OK. Look for bent pins on cables
Turn power off and on to clear error once problem found

You robot can be repaired contact Evershead robotics.

I hope this helps

H1041 is an alarm you can get if you turn on controller and the robot cables are not connected.  Your unit is probably not broken but if the batteries have been dead that long you'll most likely have to initialize the controller and then origin the arm.  Not a big deal.  I'm not going to pass this information on the forum however.  Call 937-438-3005 & ask for Service Department.

Hi,

I am experiencing the same problem. same error, same controller,

ERR No 1041
Encoder init comunication erro

H.1041

i have also just replaced the batteries.
However I am in australia.

I need help initializing the controller and orgin the arm again, if this is the solution to the problem.

Any help will be great.

hi!
I often found a loose wire in the encoder connector.. you just open the little carter on the first axis motor and check connections..

@ zanelee
maintenance -> origin -> mechanical
release the brake (if i remember... put a "1" on the axises you want to make origin, press death man + "x+" + another button in the head of teach pendant.. try.. and the brakes release.. after put "1" on axises to make origin and OK..)
you have to move the axes in the mechanical stop.. every axis to + or -.. check manual or try (and move slow!)

this is my first message! sorry for my english.. i'm italian and i worked for 5 years only in robotic assistance.. abb mitsu kuka and otc
bye
