Hi,

each robot in the line I'm currently working do save the backup file with the default name 'intern.zip'. I'd like to set a name in each robot so the file would be a meaning name such as 'weld_10R1.zip'

I know it can be done, but after digging in the system files and system vars still haven't found where to set the file name.

Any help?

V.

PD: the KCP came without SpaceMouse, what a shame !!  There's a black, round plate covering the hole where the mouse would be attached to the KCP.

Hi,

Look under the "C:\KRC\UTIL\KRCCONFIGURATOR" folder. You will see a small utility called "KRC Configurator". Execute it and go to the "Archive Manager" tab. From there, you can change the archive path (and the name).

Something to add to Asimo's direction:  You'll have to get into PATH: box and type in your own path before hitting the "Add Path" button.  In the "defined paths" box, the path with the check mark is the "required" path -- if that path is not available, the Archive function will fault out.  Only one can be checked.  The un-checked paths will *also* be archived to, in parallel with the checked path, if they are available.  If they are not available, no error will occur.

So, I usually set my robots to archive to D:\ for the required path, A:\ and F:\ (where a USB drive usually goes if you plug one in), and to a remote network drive if one is available.  Since the filename is part of the path, you can have the robot archive to different file names at different locations, although I'm not sure why you would.

One thing to keep in mind:  when you do Archive>Restore from the File menu, the Restore process will look at the required path, not at any of the others.
