Hi,
i'm using a KRC2 new controller for the past 2 months.
in this period i had to replace two VGA cards for the case of display not coming on.
this happened right after i had a surge(a short circuit ) in the 220vac supply that feeds my laptop but also the external monitori've connected to the VGA card.
is this right?could a power surge go thru the display and back to the VGA card and burn it?

It should not, although with electricity weird things are always possible.  If this happened twice, and each time after a power surge on the bus for the VGA monitor, I suspect that you are correct about the cause.  Your monitor might not be protecting the VGA cable sufficiently.
