You can do just about anything with that robot, as long as you're willing to do the work. Without a welding software package, you'll have to program all the I/O and associated subroutines yourself. Which is entirely possible, but will require time and effort. As long as detailed information on the welding hardware is available, this is a programming task that any skilled, experienced KRL coder should be able to handle.
You might be able to obtain the welding software from KUKA Roboter, if they still have old copies on file. Failing that, posting a Wanted ad in the "Used Robots" forum next door might find you someone who still owns a copy and is willing to sell it. That having been said, you'll need to make sure that the software package you're buying matches your robot and your welding hardware.
