Certain data, like the robot serial #, robot "odometer" (hour meter), and some mastering data, are stored in dual copies -- one copy on the robot controller hard drive, the other copy on the EEPROM chips on the RDC card in the base of the robot arm (where the cables plug in).

This data is retained this way so that it can be recovered in the case of a serious failure (for instance, the RDC card needs to be replaced, or the hard drive is destroyed).  The system checks the consistency of these data copies often, and raises the error if there is a mismatch.

I'm surprised you can still run with the mismatch error -- the critical data must still match, so the mismatch is just in the non-critical data (like the hour meter).  When this msg pops up, you should see a side window that displays both the RDC and hard drive data.  Pick which one is correct, and hit the corresponding button.  You should then get a YES/NO prompt asking if you're sure you want to write the data from the source you picked to the other unit.  As long as you're sure you've picked the right one, hit YES.  That should fix the error.

Hi,
I agree with Skyfire, normally robot stops with this message, but I have also seen it as a warning.
To reset this message you need to be in Expert Group & go to Service->Robot Data, the screen pops up.
Choose accordingly.
You get this message when you replace RDC, Hard Disk, data mismatch between the 2 sources.
