Hi,
    I woulld like to know if there's anyone out there who uses Kuka KRC1 + RobotMaster and if it's possible to provide a video clip of the Robot running from the code generated via RobotMaster?, I need to make sure that Kuka KRC1 is compatible with RobotMaster before I make a purchase, thank you all.

Hi ;

I am from Turkey , and I also want to buy a robot with KRC1 and I really want to know and see the result. If you buy Robotmaster please share your ideas.

I have driven a KRC1 with Robotmaster without motion issues.

Although - transferring programs via floppy disc is a bit cumbersome!

Using the floppies is cumbersome, but is there any particular reason you can't use the network?  That would make things much easier.

Sorry - absolutely we can use the network. I suggest this to all our customers - some just continue to use floppies

Ah.  This business would be so much easier if we could just get rid of the customers.  Less profitable, though....

Anyway, if you're transferring lots of programs that can't fit on a floppy, burning a CD-R or a CD-RW is an option.  A USB drive is also a possibility, although I've noticed that if the robot boots without the USB drive in place, the KUKA Navigator won't show it when you plug it in, even though Windows will see it.

This is a research project I am working on at the University Of Michigan FABLab . It is all programmed in robotmaster, but it is a KRC2 control.

 Neato!    At first I wondered what the heck was up, then it hit me (after the first removal) that it's some kind of wire knife (hot wire?).  I have to wonder how you got a good TCP on that thing.

What was the interval on the time-lapse camera, if I may ask?

FABLab, eh?  Do you by any chance know any of the people in the local RepRap community and/or YAAARC?  They had some demos at ConFusion in January, and IIRC they'll be a Penguicon in April.

Actually I met a guy who I think is part of the local reprap, he is one of the founders of sourceforge.net. We are the Uof M architecture school, one of about 5(and growing) in the world to be using industrial robots(to do things manufacturing has been doing for years, yes I know).

I think the interval was 2 secs. Wire speed is about 25mm/s. Could be faster if it was shorter, but the deflection is a problem at this length.

The TCP was actually not so bad, it is made pretty precisely so I was able to calculate it from the cad model. and if it is off by a mm or two its OK.
