May be there is RAM problem in the PC, did you check the other component in the PC other than MFC?

Check your motherboard for Blown capacitors.
Clean RAM modules and reinsert.
Try reinstalling the KRC software.

Maybe some loose connections for PC Unit power supply.

Hi,

Let me clarify that I don't know the answer to this one, but I'm interested to follow you to the solution.

I'm just curious....if it was a capacitor, or RAM, or other M/B fault, shouldn't the PC just drop dead instantly? Logically, if there was a PC hardware problem, it should just power-off, not perform the whole shutdown procedure.

Yes, I guess it could be a KSS or windows problem.

And one other thought....I don't know if it exists, please advise. Is there a "PC-stay-on" signal somewhere? If there is and this signal is lost, it does make some sense...the windows have finished loading, they detect the absence of that signal and they shut down...exactly when the KSS starts to load. The timing matches. If there is no such signal coming from the cabinet, could it be a malfunctioning PC Power Supply?

I've seen this problem before.

I'm pretty sure it's a PM6-600 problem. I'm affraid you have to replace it.
Don't ask me what's wrong with it because I don't know  :-)

Maybe you can check the circuit board inside the PM6-600?

Good luck...
