hi,
Just 30 minutes ago, I mastered my kuka kr150/krc1 with EMT, then Set tool (0,x,y,z) assigned to tool name = standard, tool No. 1.

2. Set Base, assigned name Standard, Base No. 1.

Having done the above, what else do I need to set before importing SRC file from Delcam and start milling?

Hi Daniel,
Last Thursday Delcam Tw technicians came to my place they created a sample to try, the file was saved in a floppy disc, when copying from floppy to KRC1 --->R1---> program error coccur, I provided the files in the attachment, please have a look and let me know if it works ok for you.

please open attachment for the file, 1.dat and 1.src

Well, what were the errors?  The compiler should have spat out a list of the errors, and which lines they were on.

Hm.  I get a "File Description cannot be processed" when I try to load it on my test robot.  Which suggests to me that the problem is above the DEF line(s).  I'd try creating a new module on your robot manually, then copy&past the contents of first the .DAT file, then the .SRC file, into the new module, and see how that works.

Well, I tried it, and got no compiler errors.

My guess is that either your robot doesn't have the same "Vorgabe" path for the Template line, or one of those other & lines above the DEF-line is from a version of KSS later than what your robot has.

Your file also has references to a bunch of Tech Packages.  Does your robot actually have them installed?

nerostone,
will try that when my computer is fixed.
Installed robotworks, and messed up my computer x 2. Blue Screen!!

Anyone using Robotworks here? how is it compare to other software?

robotworks is not suitable for milling. I suggest to use robotmaster or powermill software. As far as I know there are 20 thousand-point limit. but the two software is also very expensive.

Hello I'm back,
Sorry for the late reply, have been doing a bit of research on 5 axis machining.
If Robotworks is able to accept Gcode from my current CAM then I might buy it, is cheaper than any other cadcam for Robot I have found so far.
Tried Robotworks, and I was asked to produce the Gcode in this format: N100 X200 Y300 Z 400 A56 B0 C23.45 in order for Robotworks to convert it to Robot toolpath.
I'm currently using Rhinocam 2.0 pro latest version for creating G code, and I trying to find a solution on how to get the above Gcode by setting the output format in "Set Post Processor Options":

1- I,J,K and Radius
2- I,J,K only
3- Radius only

                  http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd459/happytriger2000/IJKoutputformat.jpg
                  http://s1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd459/happytriger2000/?action=view&current=MCSorientation.mp4
Described by Robotworks:
"We only accept the codes for machines that have the part fixed and the machine has all 5 axes, usually XYZ are linear axes and two more, (sometimes A&C but can be more) as rotary on the head"

Sounds like a Head-Head type rotary head.
 More on 5 axis: http://numeryx.com/cnc/5axes.htm

thanks

hi, sory for my bad english :)
1-- Do you have 5-axis post for rhino?
2--rhinocam continuous 5-axis machining can not do! Makes the indexing process with 3 +2 ..

3--(x, y, z, a, b, c) in the form, you did take gcode!

4-- if you can get the 5-axis apt code. Share here, I may make the code for you as a trial! or, share the drawing. I did not get the  5-axis with rhinocam .. you try to use powermill or CAMWorks or Cimatron or SolidCAM.

also, I do not get results with robotworks .. translation program I wrote myself. src code changes the code to the apt.

if you want to prepare a drawing and the code for you.

Thanks Nerostone for the video and files.
About Powermill Gcode output, is it 5 axis simultaneous move?
The kuka model in the video is a newer version of KR150/200 KRC2, right? do you have KR150/200 of year 2001?
will PM you.

krc1 shared codes. need to do is just base and tool identification.

--edit
Correction ..

Nerosotne,
                  I saw this in Izlesene.com:
 <a href="http://www.izlesene.com/player2.swf?video=2931033" target="_blank">http://www.izlesene.com/player2.swf?video=2931033</a>

and you have a external linear axis, which power module did you use?
Is it the Pm1-600/16 or Pm1-600/25?
