Hello!

I have to change oil in KR15/2 robot, but I cant find the oil chambers for A1, A2, A3 axis. I read the maintenace guide, but oil chambers shown only in overal. Where can I found the exact instruction for oil change? Or at least the placement of oil chambers...
Thanks.
p.s. Happy new year! icon_smile

Yeah, that's not easy.

When you really want to change the oil, you have to take off the motors.
Here you will find the oil plugs. To drain the oil you have to use some kind of vacuüm-pump.

I would recommend to leave the oil inside. I'm pretty sure these reductors can last for many years without changing the oil.
Sometimes it is better to leave the things the way they are.

Good luck!

Hello mechrob!

Iam absolutely agree with you about "to leave the things the way they are". But unfortunally we can't, becose some time ago this robot was in accident with fire. Nothing catastrofic, buta little damage. A few days ago we change A2 motor becose brake defect, and some volume of oil outstream.. this oil has burnt smell (maybe iam mistake...) So this is becose we have to change oil in robot, especially this one had work  a lot of years...

Before you pull the motor out make sure you secure a robot (especially Axis 2 and 3)
When you remove the motor - you remove the brakes. Gravity will pull the robot down immediatelly.
Axis 1 is no problem.
