Hi,

does anybody know if it is possible to use the cables from a 2005 krc-2 on a 1999 model krc-1

(or at least the teach pendant)

Thanks...

The cables have gone through several generations, but I'm pretty certain that the KCP cables are not compatible -- the KRC1s I recall working on had rectangular Harting connectors for their KCPs, and the current KRC2s use circular connectors.  There could be some generational overlap, though.

The resolver cables I think would actually work -- I don't think they've changed over time, except for RoboTeam cables.  Motor Cables... they're certainly similar, but I don't know if they're the same.

these are the same

battery's , cooling fans late krc1 had the same motherboard ram and processor as early krc2 (soyo)
the hard drives are the same
RDW card there are 1 and 2s these are interchangeable
Video card is interchangeable on some models

not the same

KCP not the same at all
RDW (resolver cable) not the same as krc2 has a larger pin on the controller end of the cable
Motor cables have different pin configuration ( you can get the right leads to run an old kr125/1 on a krc 2 for example)
MFC is not the same

hope this helps a little
