lately when making program changes to a C controller FS-10 robot I have been getting errors when trying to load a previously saved program.

I got a suggestion that if I make my program name more than 8 characters long then that may be the reason why I am getting errors when loading that program name back up.  So I experimented and saved a program with a name with only 6 characters long "N41010".  Next I tried to reload my program named "N41010" and I still get errors. See example below.

at the user prompt I type   >Load N41010

Program begins loading but at the end it says "File load complete 16 errors"

I would like to find out what these 16 errors are so is there a way to view these 16 errors?
Can I use KCWIN and type in some type of command to view these errors?

I have tried using the errlog command but it only shows controller errors not the file load errors?
The flash card in the teach pendant is about 10 years old and never gave problems in the past, could it be that this memory card is starting to fail causing these
type of errors?

When loading your all data save, are you doing a selective load to only load one program, or are you loading all data? Depending on how you load will determine what is going on, for example, if you are doing an all data load, and PG1 is on the stack, it will give an error because it will not load over a program that is on stack. If you are running PC programs, this will also cause it.  Many times when loading an all data load over itself without initalizing, there can be issues.
Try doing a selective data load and only load the one program that you have modified. This will show if the problem is being generated from the program being loaded, or from other issues being generated. If you have problems with the program, the individual lines causing the errors would be commented out by a ";". for example :
; jmove bob
instead of
jmove bob

Best of luck

when loading a program I usually first kill the program that is on the stack then just do a load all.

Before you load a program, use "kill" to clear the execution stack. If you have pc programs running, us "pcabort" and "pckill" as well.

Try only loading the program that you have modified by doing a selected load. If you are loading by KCwin this would be a loadq/ program name. If you are using a PC card, then when loading choose selected load and then choose your program. It will asf if you want to load robot, system, aux, etc. choose no. When it asks the program that you have modified choose yes, then exit. This should save you a lot of the issues.
best of luck

just a suggestion but why dont you copy the original prog IE 1 say to 100 then make your changes to the running prog  1 test it and if all is happy leave it in if not delet prog 1 and copy prog 100 back to 1. Or you could copy modifed prog 1 to another prog number say 110 to play with it at a later date. saves a lot of messing.

UPDATE>>> Time to close this question out!!!

So today I got to work with a Kawasaki rep and I asked him about this issue, he suspected it was due to a bad flash card so he placed my flash card in his computer and also could not read from it or drag and drop files to his computer from the compact flash card, he took out his flash card and saved a program from my controller and he was able to open it on his computer. Next he tried to format the flash card from the C-controller and it would not allow him to do so as I had also tried, then he placed the card in his computer and formated it from there (this I did not try) and now I can load programs from the controller with this card and also I can open files from the flash card. So I guess the flash card got corrupted and all it needed was a format from the computer to make it work again, thanks for all the great responses and suggestions from you guys..

The bad flash card was causing my load errors...

Thanks
