I am new to Kawasaki robots. I have to interface a C controller 20kg welding robot to a control logix PLC thru devicenet.
I am familiar with Fanuc and Motoman robots.
This time I need to get the PLC side of things to work.
Is there an EDS file for Kawasaki robots?
What is is the Fanuc equivalent in Kawasaki.
Fanuc
PNS or RSR to send program number
When remote conditions are met, Robot sends CMDENBL
PLC sends the PNS number , PNSTROBE then PROD_START to start new job.
Remove HOLD to pause robot then START to resume operation.
Please guide me in the right direction.

You will have to get a devicenet slave card for the controller, then you can download the EDS file from the kawasaki website. I just set up IO that the robot can use in aamainline to start and stop the programs.
