Heya

Check the base of the robot, where the harnes set enters the base of the robot. Let me know if you need any other info.

Assuming that you have an AD controller you have 4 batteries for this robot all are non re chargable AA lithium batteries with leads
I got mine from batteries plus for $8 each
2 batteries are located in the robot base under the main cover where all of the plugs go in.
the other 2 are on the main processor board you will need a soldering iron to replace but it's pretty easy.
since all of the batteries start life at the same time and last about 10 years regardless of the power up time you probably need to replace both sets.
and then an encoder zeroing for all.

good luck to you.

There are 2 batteries in the base of the robot. Depending on if it is a AD controller having a 9ZG board or a C controller having a 1HG board determines the battery pack, but they are 2 lithium batteries.  As far as if it is an AD controller, there are 3 on the 9ZA CPU that are sodiered on. If it is a C controller, then you have the same battery pack on th backplane for the 1GA board CPU. Again, these protect the CPU. The encoder is protected by the batteries in the base. I'm sorry, I disagree with the 10 yr time line. Kawasaki claims they will last 3 years. This is if the contoller is powered up and the batteries are used for back up protection. If you just let them sit, I promise you they won't last more than 1 1/2 yrs if you power down the controller every night to save energy. If you lose the CPU batteries, you have a whole different world of issues to deal with.
Best of luck to you.

you probably lost all your data on the 9ZA board. If you go into AUX 90, does it give your robot type or does it have a default value of some odd robot that is not your robot type? If you lost the information, you will need to either load in an all data save back up ( .AS file) or enter in the information by hand from the data sheet that would have been provided when the robot went into production. If you do not have either an all data save, or a data sheet, then you need to hopefully find someone that has your robot type, application, etc and can load it or you may need some support help.

MYIAM,

What is your controller and robot type ?
I have UX150 with an AD controller.
I have the laminated settings sheet and I could make a backup disk of my controller (english) and send to you if it would help

If anyone sees a legal problem with this please speak up !!
