I bought a used UX-150 with an AD controller, it was out of a Ford plant. I have went through the steps to disable the Ford add ons. I have the Robot unhooked from the controller and all unnessary cards removed. My problem is when I power up the controller i get the kawasaki screen then it goes to a screen that reads the following.
**FD SAVE : 1 ROM MONITOR : 0**.  I have changed the batteries on the 9ZA board they were not leaking but were dead.
I tried to initialize by switching the #8 dip switch on the 9ZA board, it came up and asked me if I was sure I wanted to Intialize I pushed 1 for ok but it did nothing. there is one red led on the 9za board on and the red error light is lit up on the AD controller. any Ideas on what I might be missing or what the problem could be?

Thanks

I also purchased a UX150 from a Ford plant about a month ago, it came off of their 190 line.  I had some problems and tried to intiallize hoping it would fix, at first I did it from the AUX menu and then tried the dip switch reboot method.  It asked me to press 1 and it seemed like it did nothing.  After trying to fix my problems for about another 24hrs in vain.  I tried to re-initialize again and that time i think after I pushed 1 it asked me again I was sure. Maybe I held 1 longer? It may have actually asked me for the password, if it did I used 9894 which worked.  I don't remember the exact process and don't really want to "try" it to find out as i am up and moving again.  Do you have the 3.5 floppy with the initail ford data?  My robot luckily had copy that I used to reload all the settings after intialization.  I am having an issue now with trying to figure out what to do with unconnect wires from missing pushbuttons to get my i/o working.  Maybe someone more experienced can confirm, If our robots are similar enough if my Ford backup disk could be used to reload you controller?  If it might work i'll gladly send you a zipped backup of my full backup.  Best of luck

Micochico,

I bought mine about a month ago also, it is robot 1 off the 190 line. I do have the disk and a print out of the settings for it. I will try to hold the 1 longer and see if that works. I also had all of the manuals for this robot emailed to me from Kawasaki if you need any of these let me know.

Thanks for the reply,
