I was running the 150UX and AD controller and all was well until ran a preexsisting program called 00
the bot made a small noise and then errored out with 1102 this comes up with each reboot. in the few seconds before it appears I can get to AUX and various others but there is not enough time to do anything. I do get a command prompt
my documents indicate 1102 is a bus error possibly in 9ZA board.
Is there some way to clear this ? I have pulled the cards for 2 hours hoping to bleed them down but no luck
I am eyeing the onboard batteries but I wont pull them yet barring a good idea from someone

Any thoughts ?

Your hit. An 1102 Bus error is the CPU or chips or backplane. Hopefully you have an all data save? You can probably get a 9ZA board off of Ebay for a decent price, then move the software chips. If it is the software chips you need the correct version to match your servo software... You will have to get these from Kawasaki and are a little expensive. Finally if its the backplane (motherboard) you will have to try and find one from ebay or somewhere else. This is a old retired controller and they are no longer made or available through Kawasaki.  Finally, you could try and initalize the controller and loading your all data save.
Best of luck

Roboperson,
Thanks for replying.  I do have a full backup and the origonal sheets for hardware.

You think that I have bad hardware ?  It strikes me that everything is fine until it tries to load that last program run
I was hoping to de battery the board and wipe out the offending villian
To Ebay I will go

Drat...

If I get the 9ZA board and power up will I get the AUX menu ?
I assume that I will have to initialize and re zero
initialization is somthing I am not sure how to do.
If someone knows how this goes please let me know.

You most assuredly need to reinitialize the robot.  As long as you have a good backup, hit the RED button about 2/3's the way up on the 9ZA Board.  After that you will be asked to answer a bunch of question regarding system setting, I/O, etc...  Answer the best you can until your done.  Even if you answer wrong your setting should be corrected when you reload the program file.
Now, I suspect there might be something wrong with your PG00.  Run another test program first.  PG00 used to be the old Ford Main Program, is that what this is.
Again now, if you get the buss error again, you can try lifting the Ram Chips off the board for 5 minutes.  This will completely clear memory out.  You'll go through the same thing answering questions.  When asked for robot S/N, it only want Huh? 3 or 4 characters. Don't try to put the whole S/N in or you'll get stuck.
Good luck.  You probably will need a 9ZA if this don't cure.  And by the way, low battery voltage on the 9ZA can cause buss errors but you should be getting a message if so.

Kawaguy,  thank you for replying
regarding a board /ram reset I removed the batteries from both boards and left them out all weekend.
On monday I replaced them and restarted The same error came up.
Also I have pressed that red button several times before. I thought it was a reset button
In any event nothing different happens
regarding the batteries they are fairly new and I read 3.5 volts
Where exactly are the rams on the 9ZA board ?

It would appear that I need a new board. I have found a few on Ebay but I can't shake the thought that the board is ok
I can get to the AUX menu in the few seconds that I have before the 1102 error appears. It strikes me that the unit is posting up OK and then it tries to run that PG00 program whis causes the error.

Any thoughts ?

If you lifted the batteries, that's the same as lifting the Ram Chips but their the large IC's center of board next to the Software ROM chips.  Probably 4 or 8 of them depending on memory size.
Can you get to operational status after initializing and before executing that PG00?  Move the robot around, teach a few points, check the program, maybe execute it in repeat mode??
If so, something's wrong with PG00, you may need to reprogram or write it.  If not, I think your 9ZA board is kaputz!
You could try pulling any IO boards off the backplane.  Replace servo board if you have one, but everything points to 9ZA.
Sorry.

To initialize:  Power down controller, on the 9ZA board there is a series of white dip switches on a red switch placement. Move the bottom one (#8) to the right, power up. Controller will ask to initialize? 1. Yes are you sure? 1.yes.  When finished, power controller back off and put switch back.
You will get several errors, just try to clear as many as you can until you are able to load your back up. When you load your back up, if it ask to do something say yes. If it gives the option to force, then force it. Afterwards, cycle controller power.
Once controller comes back up, you will get a check sum error.  goto option set / data set (cant remember which) 78 . Enable check sum.
See how that works, let me know if i can be any more help.

ATTENTION ROBOPERSON !!

you have come through again !!!!!  that #8 dip switch trick worked
after initialization (a semi spooky process ) my controller is back on line without replacing the 9ZA board.
the downside is that i am expecting my EBay special 9ZA board any day.  the upside is I got it Hella cheap, I have a spare and I am back in business.
I want to write some new programs but I forgot how to get back into programming mode ED something or the other any thoughts on that ?

THANK YOU one and all for your posts

Tonight at 7:30 PDT look to the west.  We will be toasting you at the Goat Council with Gin and Tonics

Im glad you are back on line. Keep that other board close. Many times when you run into this, the problem will return. If you are using AS language, ED (program name) will take you into edit mode, then E will exit it. Make sure you have an AS language manual, it is a powerful language, but you need to know how to use it. Other than that, just name a program and teach it line per line which is called blockstep.  Hope everything works out. best of luck
