is it possible to have the members put in their locations into their profile and potentially companies?

i understand that companies could be optional as sometime i question whether i should be answering some things or not but as far as locations go, it would be interesting to hear where people are from.

I know that overseas programming is much different than how we do things in the states and alot of your programmers are programmers and not just robot jockeys..

My location has been in my profile for a long time    What I dont understand is that my location shows at the side of my posts, whereas (for example) Jim Tyrer's location doesnt show, even though it is in his profile  Huh?

Location is also useful for considering time zones when replying to posts.  For example, I recently replied to one of Jim's posts at 9pm UK time, because I knew he would get the answer that working day in Canada.
