hi,
we want to look into robotic simulation software.
We have

Robotworks
Workspace5
Robotmaster

in the list.

Any other one is out there?

We do milling operation using fanuc robots.

Lots, there is a list in this topic:

Robotforum | Support for Robotprogrammer and Users
     > Simulation Systems
          > other Systems and general Simulation Discussions
               > Simulation / Offline programming softwares

It all depends on budget and use.

I believe there is milling / cad software that will create the robot programs but i cannot remember the name (sorry), if this is your only use for it something like this would be the best option.

Most of the rest are for more general robotics simulation and hence the price reflects there capability.

Hi,
I'm a robot system integrator with lots of skills on milling application.
We propose and sell a off-line robot simulator and postprocessor called Eureka http://www.redsrl.net/en/products/softwareproducts/eureka.html ...just have a look.

Anyway....consider that it's not enough to have a postprocessor and off-line simulator if you want to mill.
You should have also something that can handle large amounts of data that are typical of milling program. This is because robot memory is limited compared to movements number of a milling finishing program.

For example we use an application, developed by ourselves, that manages large amount of data from an external PC but it's available only for MOTOMAN and KUKA, not for FANUC yet.

Hope this helps,
Milena.

Thanks guys.

That post is really helpful.

For robot milling the best solution is Eureka (www.roboris.it)
