Would it be possible for the integrators of this site to offer a Members Skills board.
This could include the robot systems they have been involved with, the process, problems and solutions, control systems etc.
This board would itemise the members skills in their areas of expertise, or at least, the equipment that they have worked on, and therefore allow a direct route to someone who has been involved in the installation, maintenance or commissioning of the equipment.
I think this would be very useful to active members who require certain advice or at least direction on the specific equipment that they are working with.
This is only a suggestion - but it could be evolved into a substantial database for technical expertise.

Let me expand on this a  bit.
I have worked on a number of robot projects which include the following:
ABB, Comau, Fanuc, Motoman, Kawasaki, Panasonic, and OTC, and some.
In addition to this I have been responsible for the programming of various PLC'S and HMI's.
I also design the electrical and mechanical specs for machinery, and the relevant documentation to accompany the equipment.
The point I am trying to make is that we all need help at some time in our life, but wouldn't be easier if you knew who to talk to.
Not only that, but it could also identify who is available for contract work, or perhaps someone in need of employment.
It makes life easier if you know someones background.
