Hello!

how to i set the parameter for Burn back in Power wave i 400

i find a ball at the end of the weld for about 2 mm

Hello!,

its a Lincoln Poer wave i400 and the torch is mounted on to the Fanuc robot

Is this something programmed in the Lincoln, or in the robot?  If the latter, this question might be something better asked in the Fanuc forum.

BB is a function of the robot controller if using a 455 or i400.  BB 1st has to be enabled under Menus-->Setup-->Weld System.  As for the timing & parameters look under Data-->Weld Process--Burn Back.  I  recomend (for .045 wire) a setting of  300wfs/1.0trim/0.08sec duration.  NOTE:  If BB time is too short the wire may fuse to weld.  Then the Lincoln will clear the wirestick, if enabled, via a current blast but without firing the shielding gas solenoid.  This results in a porosity blob at the arc end.  Hope this helps!
