Will your robot be the slave or the master?

I beleive that your robot is a slave. You need to configure the robot in Siemens hardware configuration. You need the Fanuc robot GSD file to add the robot as a slave in the hardware configuration. On robot side need to set the profibus node address and the how many bytes you are going to use. If u r really interested let me know will be able to help you.

Hi
Your card contains one Master and one slave interface. I attached a manual for this card. Also you may need a .gsd file for defining of RJ2 to SIMATIC Manager that I have attached.
Slave interface usually used to communicate with upper level Master PLC. Your PLC Must have master interface. I usually use a 31*C-2DP. You can also do this with a Profibus CP module.
Master interface can be used to get tooling input/output via a Profibus slave remote i/o like siemens ET or Moby module.
If your robot is used in OPEL line it must contain many parameter set for connection of slaves. So don't clear them.
I have done this many times and I 'm ready for any guide.
Best Regards
