Quick question for you guys.

I have noticed lately that on our installs of new cells, if you are in the edit screen and you try and go to the menu screen, it just bounces back into the program that is running. Or it will bounce back into it when it changes programs.
Is this the new standard from Fanuc?

R-30iA controller
Handling Tool Software.

Thanks all

If the active window in the background is the edit screen, it will do that. I think that if you hit the LOOK key (F2?) while on the edit screen it should stop following the program execution. Or you could hit the position or status key before trying to open the menu so that it closes the edit screen.

One thing I did notice with the newer handling tool is that you can edit programs in more than one window now. It used to be that you could only do it in the left window. You can still only run a program FWD/BWD in the left window, but it's nice to be able to have two programs side by side. I'm not sure when this was implemented, but I've noticed it since v7.7/P19 I think. They're on v7.7/P21 now.

Thanks for the reply.
I have just been using the status button. But just was trying to be lazy is all.

I agree the editing in the right window is great now. Not sure when that was implemented either.
