I am working on re-fitting a RJ2 controller and robot into an existing project.
After hooking up a sensor to one of the digital input slots, and whenever that sensor fires the controller tries to run a program.

I cleared everything out of the macro menu. I also found the following variable, which I changed to false:
$MACRSOPENBL.$SOP_USER1
$MACRSOPENBL.$SOP_USER2

After cold booting, the robot still wants to attempt to run the program whenever the DI turns on.

Where else could this be stored??

JonnyRotten,

Please define "digital input slot" (what do you mean when you write digital input slot).

What is the name of the program the controller tries to run when the DI (digital input) is asserted?

Which application is running on the controller?

Are there any unusual alarms posted on the alarm log?

Does the controller break; that is, must you recycle controller power while attempting to recover?

Check if the corresponding DI is mapped to UOP input as Start signal.

I mean when DI1 turns on, the TP brings up a program. I can't see the name of the program anywhere (its not at the top like when you are editing a program).

I'm not very familiar with the RJ2 controller, where do you map the UOP?

UOP

MENU
I/O
Type UOP

Then you'll see UI and UO

Check also when you do Type   for Interconnect and see if there something done with your DI1

Also check the Group for the same reason

Write it down and post it

UOP is all *
as is Interconnect.

I will have to check the group in the morning, but I do not think there was anything in there either.

I think it has some Pro-Flow (or something) software installed on it, that may be trying to do something. It used to be glue/foam application.

I am at the robot right now.
It has DispenseTool 4.31-1 and NordsonProFlo2

I double checked the UI/O and Interconnect.
Group has 2 GI set to sim=U and Value=0

Hmmm Menu -> System -> Config is not there.
Neither is Menu -> System -> Ref Positions.

I just checked that full menus is turned on, and it is.

Any ideas.

SYSTEM F1 [TYPE]

Config

F1 [ TYPE ]
       User HOT START,
       Abort all programs by CSTOPI,
        PROD START depend on PNSTROBE
, Return to top of program,
       Restore selected program,
       Enable UI signals,
      START for CONTINUE only,
       CSTOPI for ABORT

Dont you see that on SYSTEM, Config ?

I wanted to know if the UI were disable, just to confirm that nothing external is turning your DI1 on

Correct. The config menu itself is gone.
If I press the following buttons:
Menu -> 0 -> 6(system) -> F1
There is no config menu.

I also noticed that the reference position menu is gone today, while there are still variables storing all the ref pos information.

As far as enabling/disabling the UOP, check the following sysvar:

$opwork.$uop_disable

Set to 1 to disable the UOP or set to 0 to enable the UOP.

Awesome! I will head out and try that.

Any ideas how the config menu could be hidden?

The config menu may not be hidden, it is possible that it is non-existent in that version of software.  I know version 4.4 has the config menu, and 4.1 does not.
