Hi all

I need help with this recurring error:  7003 TEACH PENDANT ERROR TIME OVER.

The odd time I don't get this error, I try to job any axis of the robot, but pushing an axis labeled key (see attachment for pic of my teach pendant) only types a number on the input line (so clearly I'm not doing something right).  Problem is, I have no manuals to refer to and fanuc sees fit to profit more from manuals for old robots.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the replay anon,

Yes, that image isn't of MY teach pendant, but it is the same model.  I thought that my controller is and RG based on the label (see pictures).  I've also attached a picture of my used and abused teach pendant.

In any case, here's the update:  I managed to avoid the error long enough to figure out how to move the manipulator.

Funny how fanuc's methods to resolve the problem all involve replacing expensive hardware...

OK, here's the update:

I didn't mention this before, but I have two of both the robot, controller, and teach pendant (but only one cable for the teach pendant), so I can swap components until some combination works.

I tried changing the teach pendant, same error (7003 TIME OVER ERROR).  Then I tried changing the card to which the teach pendant connects, and still no change.  I've also changed the manipulator (for other reasons), but still no difference.  Could it be the teach pendant cable?  Bear in mind, it does work SOME of the time, but the error keeps popping up.

And ideas?
