Dear Experts,

I have M410iB 450 with controller R-J3iC. I need to change the batteries. Like I understand there is one battery in the controller and 4 in wrist. Can anybody send me the detail instructions how to do it and batteries part numbers.

Thank You

Turn the power on, DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF! change the positional batteries in the base of the robot and the lithium battery on the cpu with the power on thats all you have to do. Also I only put batteries in that I personally went and got myself in the package. It happend to me once where someone put a bad battery in with good ones in the stock room and after I changed them and the operator turn the power off at the end of his shift we lost or postional data.

Do not over tighten base battery cover. These are easy to bust around screw.

I will try to look up today. However it is cheaper and just my opinion safer using a industrial strength type battery. I have used this type for a long time and lucky have had no problems. Besides that the fanuc installed batteries look like something you would buy from dollar general store.

Usually buy from Mc Master Carr or Fastenal. Before I forget to mention my 410 ib w/R30ia sometimes fails to alarm on low battery. When you change you should get this. Something you might just want to remember or to help remind yourself to change regularly.
