I have an lr mate 200ib with an RJ 3iB controller. I want the start the cycle and reset error codes for the robot from a controller that is next to the robot cage. I don't want the robot to be a (slave). It is not integrated to any other machining, its just  performing a function by itself. There is no PLC involved. All of the settings and programs will still be set with the teach pendant. I just want the operator to put the part in the cage, shut the door and push a start button. Any suggestions?

I think you can asign a Operator Start Button as a input, and create a macro program that will look for that input to start the program and call in your production program into that "Master" program

there are UI signals available on your controller. you can directly assign the Push button action to these inputs...

I just hope that you have a process IO board.

I figured out how to configure the inputs for start and reset.  I have the sensor on the door configured to IMSTP. When the door is closed (IMSTP on) and  I press start ( or reset) ,  it turns all of the other inputs to on.I have to turn IMSP off on order for the other inputs to go off. What could be causing this?
