Hello

Just found this forum, seems great!

I'm starting up a brand new Rj3iC with a three axis positioner. I've done this many times with no issue but for some reason I'm getting a LSTP-012 "Hardware Fail Mode" error when trying to jog any of the three external axis. They are the new locals stop boards and I have already jumped out the estop circuit.

Has anyone else had this error before? I doubt that it is actually a harware issue seeing as how its happening on groups 2, 3, and 4.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Few things to check:

1- Have you jumped the E-Stop circuits the right way since it's a dual-channel (one 0v loop and one 24v loop, do not over-cross the wire)?

2- Local Stop unit use robot input (RI) and robot output (RO) to drive the circuit, do you use this signals for other things, or are they simulated ?

3- The Robot input (RI) are used to monitor the auxiliary contact of the axis contactor, could check that connection.

Good luck !

Thanks,

I totally forgot about the (RO) outputs. They were not labelled and I was going on memory. I was turning on the (SOP) output to turn on the contctor and because I didn't use the (RO) it was failing. Once I figured out which (RO) turns on which (SOP) output the problem was solved.

THANKS!
