I am trying to implement laser seam tracking device in arc welding.
Before starting on this can any one tell me the approximate cost range of the device.

Well,  It depends on a variety of the factors one including your geographical location.

But you will have to factor the following costs:

1) The laser tracker hardware
2) The software on the robot controller to integrate this sensor
3) The integration cost

Also many robot manufacturers provide their own laser trackers. In this case It may work out economical if you are buying the complete package at one shot, the other alternative may cost you a bomb!

Most laser vision seam tracking systems cost about 25.000 euro.

Also keep in mind to purchase the sensor-interface for the robot controller which can be from 2.000 euro to 5.000 euro.
