We have a new arc mate M20iA with R-30iA controller. The problem is that it has unconfigured UOP. Neither it has PMC option. I don't know how would one give RSR, hold etc commands to such robot? Is there a variable that needs to changed to configure the UI/UOs? We have no clew. Please help!

Thanks in advance!

I want to use them. I have enabled them in system->config. Nothing appears in comments too. Lets assume, I configure them on devicenet and give input from UI[1] to UI[18], will they be functioning as they do on other controllers??

I think Dnet is rack 85 , not sure, whatever number

on the config of UO   write something like      [1-20]     85   1    1   , those 20 will take care of the uo which is enough then. This will map your uo to the first twenty do

on the config of you DO                                 [1-64]    85   1     1   ,this will map your first 64 do which inderctly will mapp you UO

meaning for example UO7 perch   will be map to DO 7

Im not in front of a TP, could be typos, I'll will check and confirm

I know how to map them on DNET. That's not an issue. The main problem is that no comment is appearing on UI/UO screen. Usually they come written and can not be changed. Even if we write the comments, the thousand dollar question is, whether they will function as they function in any other robot?

Rack 84 is devicenet.

To get your UOP comments you will either need to type them in yourself, or set uop auto assignment in the system config screen to Full. This will clear your i/o though so it might not be worth it.

The UOP assignments are always the same. i.e. UI1 is always IMSTP, UI6 is always Start, etc... So yes, they will function the same if you give them your own comments.
