The AC cabinet fans receive power from connector CP2 and sometimes CP3 on PSU (power supply unit).

Of course, if the controller cannot be turned on the fans don't run.

Make sure connector JRS7 is attached securely on Main Board and on Panel Board if the controller cannot be turned on.

That's higher than what I would expect, but it depends on what's coming in from the mains to the controller. 200-240 VAC is typical -- that is, on CP1.

Supposedly, if there's a problem with the voltage, PSU will assert (turn on) the ALM indicator to indicate PSU failure or a DC voltage out-of-specification. If the alarm indicator (ALM) on the power supply unit isn't on, don't be concerned. Otherwise, cycle power to PSU - remove and then re-insert connector CP1 in PSU to clear the power supply alarm (or press POWER OFF button on the operator panel).

Are you able to power up the controller at this time? Is text displayed on the teach pendant with controller power on?

Clarification: By "power on" I mean that the CPU is up and the application software or boot-up code is running. Whether the servos can be armed (energized) is irrelevant.

Does it try to start, or nothing at all ?

If nothing happen, take a look on the board in the door and look for EX-ON jumper !

What is your incoming voltage?  Do you run a hot leg in your plant?

What transformer is in the robot i.e. what voltage is it supposed to have?

yes the breaker is turned on...the input voltage is 240 and there is no transformer in the robot...the power is just run from straight from the outside voltage

Since your power looks o.k,look at the panel board for bad connection and looks to the main CPU for the optic fiber connection and others (verify the cable id). Some connectors could be interchanged but won't start.

When you write "I cannot get the controller to boot....I just get the power led on and nothing eles....am I doing something wrong or missing something" by "power led" do you mean the PIL indicator on PSU or something else?
