Now I am working with Fanuc R2000iB 210F robot and R30iA controller (Slave). I am facing the communication issue between the robot controller and mitsubishi PLC through Device net. I cant make the Robot to ONLINE. Its giving the following error ,

                                    DNET-004
                                    DNET-015.

If any of you having knowledge in this issue, help me.

Hello, looks like you don't have the same comms parameters between robot & PLC.
they are the error descriptors:

DNET-004 ERR_STOP_C Board init failed: Bd %d
Cause: The specified board has failed to initialize.

Remedy: Make sure the board parameters are correct. Make sure the board is properly connected to the network and power is supplied.

DNET-015 WARN Board not initialized
Cause: The specified board has not been initialized.

Remedy: Initialize the board by attempting to put it on-line, and then cycle power. Then, re-attempt the operation.

also if you have some others errors in the DeviceNet Scanner, check the ODVA error code; just follow the next link: http://www.odva.org/Portals/0/Library/Publications_NotNumbered/DeviceNet_Troubleshooting_by_Robert_D_Law.pdf

I hope this help you.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your valuable replay. I already followed the same method what you are suggesting. Any way I forward your instruction to our controls engineer.

Please also let us know is this problem may caused due to the problem in the robot devise net board?

Thanks

Vicky,
I don't believe it.
Looks likes just a network configuration issue between robot & PLC.
bests regards.

Hi Dave,

Finally We called an Engineer from Fanuc. He find out that the device net board was not good and replaced it to a new one. Now the problem was solved.
Thanks for your valuable replay and time.

Thanks,
Vicky
