Hi Everyone,

I'm looking into taking a Robcad cell and importing it into Process Simulate.  I'm wondering what exactly this involves.

Does the entire workcell have to be rebuilt from scratch importing the .co's, creating a layout then exporting the paths from Robcad and uploading them to Process Simulate?

I could use any help or suggestions.  Thanks.

you dont have to rebuild it

look in process designer / simulare help for Legacy Cells, it should explain how to do it.

Thanks for the reply.  I tried the legacy cell function but I couldn't get it to work.  I figured that's for taking a Process Simulate workcell and going back to Robcad.

its for robcad to process simulate,

you will need to run it several times, it will produce an error log (*.co that need to be added to the proc sim database and other things), fix the errors then run legacy cells again until you dont get any more errors.

Hmmm... This is the error message I get

Creating Legacy Target Cell From the Source Cell:
ERROR: The source cell is already a legacy cell.

Also, I don't have the "Robcad connectivity studies" option either.... it's greyed out.  I'm assuming I need the Robcad integration license and a Robcad seat installed to do this....  bawling

Hi all

I am a new user of Process simulate.

I have tried to import a ROBCAD cell to Process simulate as well as Process simulate to robcad. Both are working fine.

To import robcad to process simulate, we need to create a .jt file inside the .co file of robcad. this can be done by using command called "upgradetoversion" in cmd.

To import Process simulate to robcad,  we need to convert .cojt file of process simulate to .co ( inside jt file).

Before importing robcad cell to process simulate, we need to go into  ROBCAD->applications->process integration, we have to assign each and every path of the robcad cell to respective robots. This is must.

Did you solve the migration? if not I can send you a step-by step guide that we use at VolvoCars.

msundbac,

That would be great.  I'm in the process of getting a license to enable Robcad integration.  I'm sure any documentation would be helpful.

Good afternoon

I'm trying to import an Robcad weld study to use in Process Simulate. This study envolves robots, guns and parts. When I do the Legacy Cell procedure like specified in help, just the following files appears:

+ administrator folder
 L...........+  Lost and Found
               L............Y:\TRABALHO\OS_1003_11_326_3V\INPUTS\LIBRARY_ROBCAD\ossatura_230311tg.ce

I need to do some special setup on Robcad before export?
The parts must be converted to .cojt or maintain .co?

Sorry about my "Google Translator" english   icon_wink

Hi all,

I have the same problem. The migration does not work. Have someone of you a documentation?

Hello msundbac, can I get the step-by step guide for VolvoCars, too?

Martin
