Has anyone created a layout from the cell in order to give exact positions to layout guy?

I went to 2d sketcher, open 2d window,  include in 2d window, selected elements but I cannot save it in order to get a DXF file. Anyone?

I am not sure, but I think this command works for just one component. If you want to make a complete layout from a cell, I am using multisection command. You can store this multisection as a component, and then translate it into a dxf.

Maybe it's not the correct way, but it works.

There's more then one way.

Mostly I open a component in the cell called layout or what ever.
Then I copy all foundation plates and whatever I need as extra for the layout dept. Then store this component.

An other way is to create a draft from the cell, but that will be a very heavy dxf.

So let's continue with the component.
Open the component seperately and create a draft named dr1 with top view and no templates.
Save.

Of course you need a license to create dxf.

Out of experience I've noticed that robcad fails to output the draft to dxf. No sweat.

open a cmd window and go to the directory you've stored your cell in.

then type:  sh  drawingout -o layout -F DXF -n dr1 layout.co

Words in italics can be whatever you want.

Tip:
try in the cmd commands like
robfacein -h
robfaceout -h
dxfin -h

Suddenly you have so many options

Either display only the floor plates to a known datum and go into modeling and open that as a .co file (making sure you have a frame at origin) and then copy everything and save then data out as dxf or f4 and send as vmrl file, you'd prob have to change extension in the project file after its done though
