hi, everyone:

now we need to paint a car with IRB5400. RobotStudio is used to detect the potential collision, but the simulation process is relatively slow.
Is this mainly because of the real-time display of the simulation process? Can this display funtion be shuted down?
Can Robcad meet our need? Increasing the simulation speed or just operating without real-time display?
    thx :)

you can enter a time rate valua right under, next to the axis positions.

However, when you want to run a simulation with collision detect you don't want to set is fast.
This will result in big robot steps and may cause robcad to overlook a collision.

You can also just set 'stop' (in the collision window) 'ON' and than play. In the mean time you can do something else, get some coffee, have a break or at the end of day so that when you come back you can see if robcad has stopped due to an collision or that it reached the end. In last case you are good to go :).

you can actually set a small time rate but update the screen less frequently.

We used to do that with Volvo software. Can that be done in standard robcad??

i remember using it in VOLP, and a couple of years back i started hunting through every menu on robcad and found something that looked like a precursor to volp. pretty sure the function was in that, will try and find exact module (think you need to play around with the .robcad file to get the menu into the utilities list)

tons of utilities that arent normally listed, went through everything and marked down which ones required extra licenses and which bluescreened the computer, not sure if still have that .robcad file
