What do you mean by Advanced Kinematics?

Creating robots?

Creating functions?

Follow factors?

This is the course content as posted on the UGS website.

Course Description: ROBCAD ADVANCED MODELING & KINEMATICS
Robcad Basic Modeling Tools
   ◦Modeling icons and functionality
◦2D and 3D sketcher tools, as well as other surface tools available in eM-Workplace
Advanced Modeling
   ◦Exact solid creation
   ◦Support element creation
   ◦Get part and search tool

Advanced Kinematics
   ◦Slider and four bar linkages
   ◦Mechanism coupling
Kinematic Functions and More
   ◦Kinematic looping
   ◦Defining variable joint limits
   ◦Drawing the kinematic tree
   ◦Gun kinematic definition
◦Defining the training and CAM joint
   ◦CAD integration in eM-Workplace
◦Smart search, set editor, gun search, and gun define tools
   ◦Variable and constraint limits

Most of the stuff you dont know already  you should be able to puzzle out with the robcad Help files that you get when you press F1

But i have seen that the robcad help menus are not in details and are note very elaborate... sometimes these dont even help for simples problems...

As i have mention in my post that, i know basic kinematics n even creating robot. In Robots kinematics am finding difficult in making kinematics for FANUC M900 where there is an Extra link..... i know that UGS gives training on Advanced Kinematics but am not interested in joining that course.... mail me if anyone has training manuals related to Advanced Kinematics

See attached for how to do the extra links / joints.

I am not sure why you are creating the kinematics as there are several Fanuc M900 in the standard robcad library.

Robotter,

But for these topics the help files are ok (You just have to be willing to experiment a bit. People learn more through a little experimentation because they have to think.)

well you are probably right.. In any case if you manual covered the topics you needed you would not have posted here in any case.....

I never went on the robcad courses and there is tons of stuff that isnt in a manual as it is undocumented (or it might be documented in Tecnomatix intermal documents).

Plus you get different behaviour on some things depending whether you are running robcad on HP, SGI, Sun, PC, or whatever (not so much of a problem now though).

So once you have the basics the best method is to work on projects and experiment or you miss out on a lot.

Even i didn't had training n i got trained myself with help of friends n from forum.......... n its absolutely freeeeeeee ...........
I know that Robcad have this M900 robot in the library, i tried to create mechanism by my own had some problem, so will try to create joints as per ur given data, anyhow once again thanks for ur valuable suggestion.

Hi All,

Basic kinematics is to be apply in .co format of individual file. And Advansed kinematics  are given in assembly file of units with help of couplings (BMW practices this method). We need to attach individual kinematics to linkeges specially lines. When u apply movement state to specific line then All other units will take respective pose as thaey are related with line.

Gv me two days I will let u know step by step method to apply advansed kinematics.

Thanks and regards
