Any experts with smartcontroller out there?
Trying to figure out whether the best way to get code into controller is with the NFS option or can I FTP it over?
It appears that I have a choice.
Thanks

The filehandling on the SmartController is the same as on the older AWC-version.

You can use nfs to load or copy the application to the controller. The nfs option is sold with every system.
You can use a ftp to copy the files to the compactflash of the controller. The ftp is an option and it must be installed or you have to buy it.
Normaly the SmartControllers are shipped with AdeptDesktop since some years. AdeptDesktop replaces the AdeptWindows. The AdeptDesktops includes a filemanager, that works like the windows explorer. You can use it to copy the files to the controller and also to the pc.

Thanks pitl,
This bot (Viper) came with AdeptWindows. My copies of Adept desktop (for iCobra) do not have ethernet comms enabled. Will use the NFS.
