does anyone know if IRC5 comes with a built-in PLC interface like Fanuc and Kuka or do I have to write my own master routine for handshaking and running motion programs?
Thanks

Hi Jim,
i hope i understand you question right.
At the IRC5 controler you have a Option with name "Multitask". This the same like the built-in PLC from KUKA or FANUC. But the sup.sps at the KUKA is a little bit easy to handle. When you have docmentation for this IRC5 controler you will understanding this Option.

Hello Sven,
I was looking for something like Kuka's Auto Extern in an IRC5. I have since been told that I have to write a routine to do the SPS interface and handshaking.
