If all else fails, read the manual.

Hello All,
Needs to integrate an IRC5 soon, can someone tell me whether it will have a built-in interface for remote control by a cell master PLC, or do I have to write a master routine to interface with PLC?
Trying to save some time, I am surrounded by half-done robots here....
Thanks
Jim

I think the interface for remote control is simular to S4C.
Also all the Rapid Syntax.

But i dont exactly know, i had only 2 IRC5 Robots in my Hands and they already was configured.

Only the Handling with the Touchpanel is different, but easy to learn.
Somebody says, its not as userfriendly as S4C was.

I have also been trying to find out information on S5/IRC5 robots.
As with most ABB stuff I think you have to specify what they enable and what software is available to the user.
You may wish to ask ABB what is being supplied.
Also, some kind fellow posted a link to a torrent download of all ABB manuals.
His username is robotcomau i think.
