I want to install a new OS for my robot, M2000 system of S4C+. From my backup I can only see in "Backinfo" directory such files:
    backinfo.txt
    key.id
    program.id

But RobInstall requires "Add key from file", the only file format he recognizes is *.txt file. Which means he only recognize such file like KeyStr.txt.

How can I get the key from my robot file?

You don't have the key at all? If you do, you can type it in instead of loading it from the key-file.

If you don't have the key you can choose update system and browse to your old backupfolder and you can sometimes get the system key displayed at the bottom of the right window (the one that lists all options etc.).
I'm not sure why this works on some systems and doesn't on others, I'm guessing it has to do with what version is installed.

If you can't get that to work I think you have to find your old key disc or order another one from ABB (expensive).

Hi Hunwell

From my computer go to "C:\Program Files\ABB Robotics\System".
And create a new directory which is named your system. Like a "24-222222 unnamed"
Paste to this directory your key.id and program.id.
Open Robinstall click to uptade you will see your system.
you can change options then download to controller.

Best Regards...

  hi, Ulkers
have tried that way. My machine have option of External axis and IRBP 250 positioner,
thus I saw "additional key:
   UmnnnvaIXejQ1.TROQvQ6"

But when I try to "add the additional key into the list", message box pop up, saying errors.

What is wrong? Seems we are drawing near but still not reached the final dash line...

Hi
First of all you should find your robotware (like this 3HAC6811-1.94) and Option file. Theese files are include in robot flash disk. And then you paste this folders to "C:\Program Files\ABB Robotics\MediaPool".  If you have problem could you send screenshot to me ?
