Does the controller run a series of diagnostic tests and then at the end say "Please insert boot disk (1) and press any key to start loading"?

If it does, then you will need to load software.

how about this. switch off the controller and unplug the main board. keep it unplug for some minutes and then plug it again. with this way all of the software is deleted and then you have to reinstall it. first check if you have the boot disks. one other thing that must be mentioned is that all programs and parameters will be lost and you have to make them from the beginning.

I checked the software posted by JuanBotics and it is BaseWare 2.1 for an M94A IRB6400.

Hello,

Only baseware 2.1 will not work. you need to have the key disc for the same. and that key disc contains that what are the softwares purchased at the time of the purchasing of the robot. Generally, IRB 1400 comes with the  ARC Pack, means for the arc welding solutions. and so you need the arcware software also. You need to talk to Local ABB Robotics for the key disc.

Dear Friends

In my ABB robot IRB1400 M94A, I couldn’t test your boot disk that you have sent it to me. Because I have this kind of problem that when I turn on the robot controller system don’t boot up and don’t ask me “Insert Boot disk no.1”
Please see the photo that I have attached it.
On the motherboard there are to pushbutton INT and TEST that you we can perform Monitor Mode 2 , I did this test and I guess my robot computer board or my CPU board are damaged but I don’t know witch one are damage exactly.
Have you seen this kind of problem before? (Please see the attached file)
Best regards
