Hi there, could you guys advice me about multitasking in ABB? I need to run another program in parallel, so when the Robot collides, i need it to execute another movement routine.. is it possible? thank you so much.

I would suggest asking this question in the ABB forum. I would help, but I do not know anything about ABB robots.

ABB robots can manage 10 different tasks in parallel but move instructions can only be executed in the main task.

Why do you want to use different movement command at the same time? Maybe i can help with different command in Rapid that's why i am asking.

Thanks for the answers, well, I called this morning to ABB Tech support and they told me that it's not possible to do so, anytime the robot collides, it needs to be moved manually to a safe position, being so, I have no choice but to "trust" and create a new routine for the operator to manage the problem by himself. Moreover, I apologize for posting ABB's in here, I was just looking for multitasking topics and this is the only one. Thank you so much again. icon_smile
